I have had several trainers over the past 15 years and have never seen the results that I have achieved with any of them compared to what Brooke has done for me over the past 3 years. I am fortunate enough to be a part of her group gravity class and I look forward to every one of her classes. Brooke is superior because of the thought, planning and personalization she puts into each work out. I have been in a class with 7 of us and she is spot on with everyone’s idiosyncrasies. Whether it’s a shoulder injury, sore back, or even just recovering from a long run; she will customize every exercise to accommodate each of us individually.What really sets Brooke apart is the way she energizes our group to perform at our highest level. She has taken the time to understand what motivates each of us individually and plays off of that. It could be as simple as asking us if we need to drop a level to pairing us up for a little friendly competition.

I first met Brooke in 2010 when I was looking to get back into shape (having been an avid runner) after having my first baby and needing to lose the last 20 pounds of my 40 pound weight gain. Through an integration of strength and cardio training, Brooked helped me successfully achieve my goal of losing the last 20 pounds and to my surprise I ended up feeling stronger and more fit than I was before. For the last 4 1/2 years I have consistently trained with Brooke including through my last pregnancy where I again gained 40 pounds but lost it even faster than the first time because I had more muscle mass.

I have been training with Brooke Fellows for the past seven years. During that time, Brooke has helped me to lose 70 pounds and keep it off! I am a recently retired Healthcare Executive and former "Type-A" personality who, over the past 30 years working, managed to transform a healthy mind, athletic physique into a more "Pear shaped" 256 pound not-so-healthy 55 year old man. My Cardiologist told me die now or 1) change my lifestyle, 2) eat less volume, at better times of the day and 3) begin a regular exercise program. I have an amazing supportive wife who saw the inner athlete inside me and was willing to do whatever it took to help me get healthy so we could live a long and happy life together...exactly the same goal I wanted.

Prior to my retirement in 2010, I met Brooke Fellows at Frog's Fitness after a few bad experiences with other trainers. Brooke took a refreshing new approach by assessing my physiological make-up, physical abilities, diet and exercise levels, work out "likes/dislikes" in addition to my long term personal goals and objectives. From there, we started a program where I worked out 5 days a week, 2 of which were under Brooke's expert guidance. One requirement of mine was NO artificial life changes like those "liquid type" diets. I wanted to learn how to workout in relationship to my goal weight and desired body composite, even if it took me a few years. I wanted to live a normal, healthy life I could control to the end.

When Brooke made the decision to open Fellows Fitness, Bobbie and I did not hesitate giving up our 10+ year contract with Frog's Fitness to follow her. It was one of the best decisions we've made in life.

THE RESULTS:

a) Gross weight reduction. I started at 256 pounds and now weight 219. My goal is 205.

b) My blood chemistry (cholesterol levels, hemoglobin A1c, etc.) are all now within normal limits.

c) Competitive on the tennis courts. We are playing USTA Level Singles and Doubles matches here and in Hawaii and winning awards. 4 years ago I did not have the stamina or physical strength/agility to compete at this level.

d) We challenge eachother using our FITBIT's and haul a$$ around Miramar Lake, a 5.25 mile loop which we couldn't do 4 years ago.

e) When I started working out with Brooke I had a 44+ inch waist size. I now fit into size 40 inch Levi 501 button down jeans. That has not happened in 30 years!
